ये कैसे रिंद हैं मदहोशी का जरिया बदलते हैं

Their perception depends on what is convenient  

These drunkards are reckless with their intoxicant

हो बाग में तो खिलो और महको

कुछ करो एक दिन फना हो जाना है

भूलना खुद को भी आसां है यहाँ

दुश्वार मगर चाहतों को पाना है

While in garden bloom and spread fragrance

You too shall be consumed by time’s fire

It is easy even to forget one self

But it's difficult to attain one’s desire

राह पर पड़े फूलों पे भी चल नहीं सकता

जाने किसकी बिखरी हसरत है कुचल नहीं सकता

Can’t tread on the flowers scattered on ground

Don’t know whose unfulfilled aspirations are these

Couplets: पानी में मैं साँस लेता हूँ under water I breathe

सब लेते हैं जमीं पर पानी में मैं साँस लेता हूँ

जीते हैं वो सतह पर ऊम्र मैं गहरे गुजार देता हूँ

कभी लगे है मुझे मै मछली जैसा हूँ ...

They do above ground while under water I breathe  

They exist on surface and I am found underneath

Sometimes I feel like a fish ...

My voyage has begun anew

I feel you here and in distant shores

Someone asked me somewhere - everyone exists what makes you different?

I am like the others in what meets the eyes beyond I am completely different

जिंदगी का पेड़ - Hindi Poem

मेरी जिंदगी का पेड़ है

जड़ों से अपनी जुडा़ हुआ

हवा की मौजों में झूमता

तन्हाँ कहीं पे खडा़ हुआ

न जाने क्यों मैं हूँ यहाँ?

            न जाने कैसे बढ़ गया?

पानी को नीचे खोजता

            कब आसमाँ पे चढ़ गया

कभी ओस में, कभी धूप में

            कभी गिलहरियों की थाप से

कभी पूछता, कभी सोचता

            क्या हो रहा चुप चाप मैं

ये चिड़ियों का धौसले बनाना

            ये मौसमों का आना जाना

आने लगा था समझ कुछ कुछ

            तेरा ये तौर और मेरा मुस्काना

मैं शहद हूँ, कोयल हूँ मैं

            खाद हूँ, मैं ही हूँ आसरा

जिस तरह से मैं तेरा हूँ

            वैसे तू भी है मेरा
