Forgive my indescretions

I am inclined yet
reluctant to reach out
To honour your choice
of maintaining distance
and staying away from the crowd
Please forgive my indescretions 
when I seek opportunities 
of throwing pebbles in zest
In a placid lake as a test
To see momentry ripples
That dance uninhibited  
Reminding me of waves
Of a gushing river
You once were
And who now prefers
Her oceanic solitude
