The way it is

On a normal day
I think of you
As source of strength

An image I carry
That pulls me through
This maddening world

Deep down I know
U too are battered
By passage of time

The spark in eyes
Is not the same as think
Its shine is lost
With every blink

I am scared
To reach out
And touch u now

Being selfish
Is what comes easily
To me some how.

A flash of YOU
Once a while
Is what I need

May be we
have nothing else
left to share

Than memories of
some unknown past
