Poem - The Apparatus

The apparatus

An intricate recorder

To reorganize the frames

And put perceived reality in order

The skill – an acquired art

To focus on the desired shot

Light, sound, setting and aperture

To capture that perfect inverted picture

The moments, people & places

Frozen in time & space

For our viewing pleasure

When we find the leisure

Random images are retained

By this apparatus at days end

What happens to events that fade away

Without leaving its trace in any way?

Is there a thrash can in out head

Where lost memories are constantly fed?

How it matters what we retain or discard

When every apparatus ends in a junkyard?

Poem - The Gist

I draw the same breath (as you)
to feed my consciousness
And my desire leads
To my chosen indulgence

Unrealized
Our lives appear isolated flicker
In essence
We are the same flame

I exist - creating, being, discarding
reaching out and contemplating ...
In you
I recognize a part of me

Poem Born Again

Another day flies by
Another night sets in
Sun and moon r like
Lights that flash & blink

Do not know who I am
Do not even care
Another life I live
Another truth or dare

Each day I die again
Each moment I am born
Another smile I paste
When the last one is torn

What I have to show
In so many years
Are a few moments shared
Of my hopes and cheers

Do not know where to go
All I can do is walk
Another path I take
May be it leads somewhere

Poem Wheel of Life

The wheel is on its roll
We are on different side
You yet to take a step
And I at journeys end

When you pick and hold
Morning dew in you hands
Hope you have no regrets
of the life you have spent

Time flys fast my child
And the day is not too far
When wonder will fade
From your inquisitive eyes

You play this game alone
And learn rules hard way
I can only share mine
May be it will help someday

Live your life as it comes
Be always true to self
Follow your inner voice
Above everything else

Musings

Being inquisitive is our second nature. There is always a drive to learn and know more. One part that is often left unexplored is the terretory of self exploration.

Often times we tend to look outside world for inidicators and benchmarks for this. We need to realize that our basics premise for leading our life needs to be figured out first. This will only come from time spent on pondring our things that matter to us and making changes in our outlook based on the outcome.

Our behavior is reflection of what we tend to think in any given situation. Hence first step is to take time out to reflect on our life.
Where we are..
Where we want to go..
Is it reslly where we want to go..

Poem - What I might have been....

What I might have been...

Today again I spend my day
Chasing the shadows away
Doing the best I can
Faking a smile and being sane

I pick the pieces from the floor
Of trampled smithereens of broken soul
And try not to become
The kind of man that I am

I still latch on to a hope
That some day I will easily cope
With these nonsensical thing I do
To prove to self that I am true

When I turn and see all around
Crescendo of this useless sound
I take a refuge in space within
For a glimpse of what I might have been....

This is just how it is...

The way it is

On a normal day
I think of you
As source of strength

An image I carry
That pulls me through
This maddening world

Deep down I know
U too are battered
By passage of time

The spark in eyes
Is not the same as think
Its shine is lost
With every blink

I am scared
To reach out
And touch u now

Being selfish
Is what comes easily
To me some how.

A flash of YOU
Once a while
Is what I need

May be we
have nothing else
left to share

Than memories of
some unknown past
That we think we shared

Poem - All and everything

The scent applied
fades
then disappears altogether

What you learn
goes to waste
With each passing day

What u accumulate
stacks up....
And builds into useless heap

Visions of yesterday
faces today's
harsh realities

So have fun
and forget
All and everything......

Poem - Random definitions..

Faith is like a bait fish nibbles
Before it knows its too late

Love is something that envelops your being
and resides in a fertile place

Time is something that is fictional
A fallacy of the brain

Space is all pervading
The truth behind the maze

Poem - When u get there

You bend your back
you strive too hard
In a rush to reach it

You think of all the
things you'll have
When you finally meet it

With aim in sight
There is no other way....
But to achieve it

What happens when you get there???

Poem - Guise

Jester's smile
is it worht its while?
Fake as it could be...
and so purely faked

The beauty of deceit
that is apparent
And no attempt
has been made to disguise it

Insincerity so sincere
subjugation so blatant
Defiance so subtle
Stare held a moment 2 long

The best of worst
and worst of best
which one will u choose
as your guise today???

Poem - Focus

The beat
repeats
from a distant place

The rythem
slowly
grips your feet

The shadow
reveals itself
In mysterious ways

Shapes form
then merge
with the ambience

Yet,
If you forget
To focus on right things

Clutter
accumulates
Instead of memories

Then abrupt end
of the story
Leaves you unfulfilled......

Poem - The Dust

The dust
It takes over
Everything
eventually ....

Everything on earth that is
So, what do u do?
Climb the skies or mountains
Or hide in deep sea

All the civilization
technology
Shall be covered by dust
eventually ....

You sweep it
it comes back...
from everywhere...
you alos are its carrier

If you try to sanitize
the room
Then u have to gaurd against
your dust from spreading
The dust
you r preventing

Poem - Life & its charms

The moon has descended
upon my window panes
So big, so low
Alone with a faint glow

The night has silently crept
To provide a satin backdrop
And to cover the traces
of teardrops that moon has wept

The breez is crisp & cold
It carries the smell of days bygone -
Thousands of night on which moon has shone
And blew the pieces of million stories untold

The bed is soft & warm
The moon is shining, trees moving in wind
Eyes are blank staring at the void
Thinking of this life and its charms

Poem - The fog

The chill in the air
Envelops me
As i step outside
To face the world

The reality bites through
the protection I have
And my very being is exposed
To the vagries of the wind

The scene arround me
has changed
The street I walk daily
Suddenly is not familiar

The fog transforms everyting
It shields something & reveals something
The fog leaves me disoriented
The fog gives me new eyes.....
